Hi! I'm Lauren!
Recently I realized that I am amazing at taking pictures of other people, but I have really slacked at getting in front of the camera myself... so I figured there was no better post to start my blogs than to share our recent family pictures and introduce myself!
My name is Lauren and I am a new mama who has been in the photography world since 2016. I first started photography as a weekend hobby when I was drowning as a first-year middle math school teacher and needed an outlet. That hobby quickly turned into a passion and the rest is history. I no longer teach middle school, but I work in the finance world and photography is one of my favorite creative outlets. I learn so much about the clients and families who trust me with their session, so I figured it was time to officially make a blog post sharing a little bit more about me! Here are a few fun things about me!
❁I absolutely love the beach! I grew up going on yearly summer vacations to Bethany Beach and a few years back my parents retired and moved to the area. We visit all of the time and it allows me to get lots of beach sessions done each year.
❁I take pride in my at home latte making abilities, but as a new mom, sometimes it is just easier or necessary to stop at starbucks while we're out. Either way, I will pretty much always have a coffee in my hand one way or another each morning.
❁I grew up in a police family and I am married to a police officer, which is what inspired my discount policy for all first responders, teachers, nurses, and military members.
❁I have a rescue pup named Oakley who is 6 years old, and typing this is reminding me that I need to get some updated pictures of him too, so stay tuned for that!
❁I love going to sporting events! Whether its football, baseball, or hockey, I am always down to go to a game!
❁And lastly, I grew up swearing that I was a terrible reader, but apparently I just needed a kindle and to find books that I like, because I love to read now!
